All of our custom homes feature only the best quality materials and careful craftsman details that come from the best staff and best subcontractors. As we truly custom build each home, there can be a large variety in finish materials (cabinets, flooring, etc) as we tend to let our client's preferences and budgets determine where they want to spend money and save money. We will also sit down with you at the beginning of the process and suggest energy saving designs or products that will enhance the living in your new home.
Keep in mind, while we build many homes in subdivisions, we want your home to be just YOURS - we encourage you to truly customize it, so we provide you with a generous allotment system for all finishes - you can be as involved as you want with your choices. As energy costs increase, we want the home you build to truly be the home of your dreams - not just in looks, but in the daily living as well.
Here are just some of the details that go into the construction of every home:
1. All basements feature 9" walls poured reinforced walls at 9' height
2. All framing is done by hand per plans
3. All roofs have a minimum of 30 year dimensional shingles and are hand nailed, not stapled.
4. All homes are wired for cable tv, fios, Cat 5, and more
5. All exterior walls are 2 x 6 unless requested otherwise
6. All exterior wall sheathing is actual wood - not that blue stuff!
7. Entire home wrapped in Tyvek
8. At least a 200 amp service
9. All ceilings laced
10. Generous and custom allotments for exterior finishes including vinyl siding, hardi plank siding, brick, or stone
11. Geothermal plans are easy and cost effective!
12. R 19 sidewalls, R-45 ceilings, the newest spray in insulation technologies that save you money and heat!
13. Custom Cabinets from Grabill, Schmucher, or your equivalent choice
14. Generous flooring allowances letting you choose your carpet, tile, wood, vinyl, and quality installation.
15. Custom trim products up to any width, and any finish.
16. 5/8" drywall on ceilings - this is a GIVEN!!! It should never be considered an extra.
17. Full grading of lot - a true finish grade and seed.
18. Delta, Moen, Price Fister, faucets and fixtures.

20. Hand picked lumber - we don't get truckloads in - we pull the loads so that all lumber is straight and true, so that your home is straight and true.
21. Most of our custom homes have dramatic open plans that maximize style and "wow" factor with livability. We are able to include dramatic window designs and tall ceilings while keeping your home properly insulated.
22. This is just a beginning......please be aware as you look at builders, that if it isn't spelled out in your bid, you aren't getting it. But if a builder has to point out that they are using "real" wood, or pointing out that they insulate the home - that isn't a good thing. There are some minimum standards, but then there are those that exceed those before they put a shovel in the dirt.
